Do you wonder if your current workout routine is actually making you fat? I used to workout super hard. Like, we are talking HIIT workouts and heavy lifting nearly everyday. While that works for some people (and it actually worked for me when I was younger), it wasn’t quite working for me anymore, especially now that I’m 40 (gulp). I was retaining water weight, experiencing chronic inflammation and it seemed impossible to heal my body and lose weight. I was stuck. My hormones were out of balance and it was wreaking havoc on my body.
Low Impact Workouts for Weight Loss
Stubborn fat just wouldn’t budge, so that led me on my health journey. I have learned that it is 99% about diet (at least it is for ME). And don’t get me on my soap box about how everybody and every body is different. It’s true. People respond to things differently and what works for me might not work for YOU. The important thing to note is that you have to do your own research and find what works. I have found that low impact workouts work best for my body. Low impact workouts help with toning and slimming my physique. I JUST started the Yoga Burn challenge. Their slogan is “helping women get lighter, healthier and happier.” It goes through three phases to “trick” your body so it burns more calories. I’m super pumped to get started! It’s only 45 minutes, three times a week. I can handle that! I will keep you posted with results!
